The Hardest Button to Button

ahh the joys of dorm living... over the course of the past 20 weeks kate has noticed that, based on foot placement and auditory cues, a plantz 2nd floor resident puts toilet paper on the seat everytime she uses the bathroom. noticing this pattern led us to do some quick caluclations produced some startling conclusions. let's say this individual uses the bathroom an average of 4 times per day. this means, as a conservative estimate, she spends about 2 minutes per day arranging toilet paper. this comes out to about 14 minutes a week, a startling 154 minutes a term and an absurd 462 minutes a school year. imagine - thats almost 8 hours a year spent not studying, sleeping, facebooking, or plucking your eyebrows but arranging toilet paper in an aesthetically pleasing and sanitary fashion. believe me, i'm not judging bc sometimes i wish i could be that worried about germs. plus if, in the future, a world wide epidemic is transmitted via toilet seat she'll probably be one of the last standing when 75% of the world's population is knocked out (and the bubonic plague is sweeping the denver zoo - so you never know).

and what's that you say? 8 hours pales in comparison to time spent on other "wasted" activities such as facebook, the girls next door and alcohol consumption but at least those activities give back in the form of important social information and/or belligerent drunken encounters. but just think... for those 8 hours all she as are images of 1-ply toilet paper and the plantz hall shitter.

a side note: i'm in the computer lab of the con and have a jury in 5 days so i'm definitely in no place to discuss wasted time. also, blogger now save your drafts automatically. every minute on the minute.

sometimes i just sit around that think about how i really wish i had a time machine. also, the moche empire in ancient peru produced erotic pottery like it was no one's business. i highly recommend utilizing a google image search to explore this wonderful foray into pornottery.
